Laura Maria Babst

Laura Maria was born on the 29th of January, 1987 in Berlin, Germany.
She moved with her parents onto the island of Majorca (Spain) at the age of 6 months.  She grew up there in a country house near the village Artą, and went to a Majorcan school.
 
She knew already in her childhood that she wanted to make her passion professional: To act and sing on stage. When she was 12 years old she started to take singing and dance lessons and to act on local stages.
 
She became singer of the Majorcan youth-band "40 Llamps" when she was 14 years old. With this group she acted successfully during 2 years at many places of the island on public celebrations, TV-shows, radio and theatre.

When Laura was 17 years old she left Majorca to get her 3-year professional formation at Stage School for Professional Artists, Germany,  in the areas of song, dance and drama.
July 2007: She completed successfully her formation in Germany.

December 2007:
She moved back to Majorca .
February 2008: Singer of the Majorcan verbena-band "Soubastos".
April 2008
traineeship and cooperation as a (Catalan) speaker at Radio Artą.

May 2008:
Contracted by the big show-organization "Romantic Corporate". She has been singing during the tourist-season almost every evening on show-stages at the Balearic islands.

Summer 2008 participation in the IB3-TV-show "Fent Trull" and in the German Pro7-TV-production "Taff".

Winter 2008: Singer of the band "Voltors" and "Rodamons".

May 2009: Laura recorded Backing Vocals for the new album "Back in Time" in the studio from The Les Humphries Singers Reunion and joined them live on stage as background singer on concerts and special events  in different cities and countries, as Spain, Germany, etc.

June 2009: female front singer of the Ricris-Duo. With the keyboarder Ricky she sings in restaurants, hotels and galas.

At the same time she worked together with the Argentinean guitarist and producer Carlos Lambertini as singer in the studio and on stage. As duo they played all over the Island, on verbenas, galas, hotels, special events, etc.

2009/2010: Female front singer of the Jazz-Duo "Smooth" with the guitar player Sebastią Cardell.

As singer of the Duo or Trio "Come On" “she performes every style of music, for hotels, galas, private parties, etc.

Female singer of the international Partyband  "Fresh"  (Demo), directed by Ronald Brand. With the keyboarder and musical director Ronald she also workes together as Duo. They also can be booked as trio with the spanish guitar player Toni Cruz for all kinds of events.

 

 


Together with The Les Humphries Singers Reunion
